S2 & NeoAxis

Well...I've had a good look at S2 and yes it's a very powerful engine some some fantastic features but it's navigation and general tool features are over complected and some are simply annoying.

We do own S2 now so it might be considered in the future if and when some of it's failings are looked into but for now this project is going to be developed using the NeoAxis Engine. A formal announcement will probably be made soon once we have something up and running.

My plan is to have the basic starter zone, the village of Cartvale, created within the next month.

He's not on the list as such but I thought we can't really do a fantasy RPG without Goblins...and so I'm going to be working on this little chap next.

Also... I have received the hardware key for the S2 engine so will be looking into the full possibilities of this tool suite. I am impressed with the end results of the demo so I'm very hopeful that the engine will be the dev platform of Crypt Hunters.

Not dead yet...

Crypt Hunters was put on hold for a while but it's back again...and again might be changing technology and scope a bit.

The plan is still to do a small hack and slash RPG but to be honest Torque could not provide the graphical quality I want. And so with that in mind the project will be switching to a new engine. Hopefully this will provide the quality I want in the zones and in the game as a whole.

And now..some eyecandy.
